The class I love...

Dearest 5.7s!

You are halfway through your SA 2 papers already! I hope all of you are doing your best and remaining focused to give that lofty Maths paper a heavy blow in the face.

You have worked hard with me through these gruesome and grueling 10 months (you know who you are)... You have done your part to work hard and all. Now it is time to take back what really belongs to you - Your success and victory at the end of the examinations.

That success will be sweet when you take back your report books and see how much you have improved with the amount of effort you have put in.

You have really done well so far and I do see great improvements from most of you. Keep that attitude and effort up!

I am a man who seldom praise people unless they really deserve that praise. So, right now, to most of you actually, you have really worked hard.

To this day, I want to tell you I am proud of you in many ways... Such as how many of you can be playful and yet know when to give me that respect and cooperation. I love that.

Such as how many of you would always laugh at my lame expressions and remarks...

Such as how many of you would be able to put up with my strict and stern face whenever I am really serious in work...

I hope now that you are reaching the end of the year, put all that you have been striving hard for into the remaining of your SA 2 papers...

There is a season for everything... Now is the season to harvest(collect what you have planted) and gain that reward.

Go for it. Have faith and confidence in who you are. Win that battle for yourself!

My heart is dead

Some of you have proven yourself that I have to give up on you...

Don't worry.

I will do just that. Since you do not want to do work to help yourselves... I cannot do much.

Good luck. All the best.

Disappointed with you during e-learning week...

Hello dear 5.7s...

I am rather disappointed that this class has very few people who really learns how to read carefully and apply thinking skills to what is required of them for e-learning week.

2 weeks ago, a newsletter with all the information and procedures on how to download assignments and to submit assignments was given to all of you to read and to keep to refer to it if you needed clarifications.

How many of you kept that and read the newsletter?

Also, on the P5 level blog, instructions were given ON the blog for you all to follow. Useful links were also given.

Can you all learn to open up your eyes and be more alert to read through thoroughly?

Sorry I sounded harsh here, but I expected you all to be more of independent learners, and not those of lower primary level, still waiting to be spoon-fed...

Below is an extract from the level blog, it states clearly that:

ASSIGNMENT
1. View tutorial on the topic

2. Download worksheet P5RMWS1 and complete it. Email the completed assignment and as an attachment to your Mathematics teacher's LEAD email account.

Is it that difficult to understand?

Learning - A choice made from the right attitude

Hi dearest 5.7s...

Just look at the countdown timer above this post and you are fully aware that the days are numbered before SA2. I am not worried about you all being stressed, but rather, for some of you, I am worried that you are not stressed or anxious at all.

All of us have to have some stress sometimes in order for us to see the urgency and importance to put in more effort and to make that extra effort to study and work hard.

So here it is. With the final week remaining, what is driving some of you to work hard?

The rewards or promise of a holiday by your parents?

The fear of punishments by parents?

Fear of having to repeat P5 or to go into Foundation stream?

Or would it be the satisfaction of seeing improvements in every of your subject? Or to be doing far better than what you have been doing in SA 1?

Or some of you could it be that you are studying simply because you enjoy learning?

Well, I do hope that one day, all of you here could simply study because you enjoy learning...

You see, learning is a life-long process that all of us human beings do, be it in a classroom or not. We are learning new things everyday. We could learn how to play a new game, learn how to type emails faster, learn how to type a proper email, learn how to play a sports better and so many more examples.

Learning takes place in any place and in any time... Who says learning cannot take place outside a classroom? Who says that without a teacher, a student cannot learn?

I would like to remind all of you. It is because we have students, that's why we have teachers... Without active learners, we won't need teachers...

I am here, because your parents choose for you to learn, when you were too young to make that important choice yourself...

Right now, you are grown up, capable of making important decisions, you too must make that choice to choose to learn as well...

Make that choice for yourself. Learning is given strength from your attitude...

Once you have the right attitude to learn, I would like to tell you this:

The world is for you to take.

I'm very worried... Really, please save yourselves...

Okay class...

This is indeed very worrying...

If you remember the revision papers that we have done, a lot of you have done very badly in the papers.

I am very worried.

If that is the standard that you are showing, can I be frank with you that half the class will fail the coming SA 2 examinations?

I really wonder if I have not done enough for the class and to help the weaker pupils. I have given all the time I could spare to you all, to explain and break up difficult problem sums in depth and used different approaches to guide you all along...

Then why are you all not doing your part as well?

Some of you who should not have failed, failed...

Some of you whom should have shown improvements, actually did worst...

What I need from you all, is your positive attitude...

Your attitude towards learning...

How long will you all keep playing and wasting your youth away???

I have completed marking yet another set of revision papers...

Guess what, we have 17 failures... Out of 34, 3 did not hand in. (Darwiis, Kelly, and Saifullah)

Highest was 96.5 and the lowest 21.5 (just a mark away to get U grade...)

Can you all wake up! Do you actually know the seriousness of where you are heading? Please save yourselves...

The final lap to the race.

With the last week remaining, I sincerely hope for all to work together with me, and we will go through our revision papers with little or no hiccups at all... I really hope everyone can play your part in moving together with me.

It takes 2 hands to clap... As much as I would like to push everyone to do the best, it has to be that you would want to do your best too!

The best from all, in all.

Finally, I would like to inform everyone that I am giving supplementary class this coming Thursday as well, during CCA time from 12.30 pm to 2 pm.

Consent forms will be given.

Friday supplementary class is still ON as usual.

We need all the time we have on hand to really prepare ourselves. I hope you can understand.

Can we work together?

Thanks.

Lost & Found!

Did anyone from Remedial Group 2 (Tue) lose a water bottle?
