Life is a choice...

In life there are always 2 sides to something...

Just like a coin with 2 sides, so is the case with many things in life...

Every choice has its own set of consequences which follow.

When something bad happens, did it happen because we are unlucky? Or was it due to something that we have done, or perhaps have not done?

When we get scoldings from parents, is it because they are unreasonable or, is it because we are unreasonable ourselves?

I found myself to have experienced the same things as with many of you as I grew up... I used to think that everything which would have gone wrong was not my fault, and if it went wrong, it was because I could not have done anything about it...

Yet I realised, things went wrong not because I could not do something about it there and then, but rather, it started off with all the small wrong decisions I had made in life...

Why could we not do as well in studies as we wished to?

Why could we not be loved by our parents and be praised for being obedient and filial?

Why could we not be commended by teachers to show the right attitude?

It boils from the little things we do daily...

It is easy to do one wrong thing which could erase out 10 good things we have done...

Mr Yeoh, since it is so hard to be good, then why must we do it?

My dear children, it has to start with what you want in life. You choose to be good, because you want it yourself. If we always trying to be good to please someone else, we will surely be discouraged along the way...

For me, I choose to be good, that's why I am doing it for myself, because I want to be good.

What about you?

What do you choose?

Can we stop saying that we have no choice or no control over who we want to be? From attitude to success or failure, it is our choice to begin with...

Give it a thought...
